These Are a Few of my Favorite Things #2

I’ve already done one of these (These are a Few of my Favorite Things #1), but I must have a lot of favorite things because I’m doin’ another one! :)

#1: Fishtail Braids

I think they’re so cute! And once you get the hang of them, which I haven’t quite got yet, I hear they’re pretty quick and easy to do.

#2: My Cat(:

Because my cat is adorable. No more needs to be said.

#3: Knocked Up

It never gets old. Ever. I think I laugh harder every time. Plus, Seth Rogen is adorable; I don’t care what anyone says.

#4: Herbal Essence Volume Express Hairspray

It’s my favorite hairspray I’ve ever used and you can just buy it at Walmart. Hairspray in general is probably my all-time favorite beauty product, with the possible exception of mascara.

#5: House of Night books

I haven’t actually finished them, but I’m loving them so far. I think they’re so relatable in the weirdest of ways. You won’t be able to put them down, at least I know I haven’t.

9 Easy Ways to “Go Green”

Easy ways to help the enviornment(:

1. Use compact flourescent light bulbs.

2. Turn your computer completely off at night instead of just putting it to sleep.

3. Hang your clothes to dry instead of using the dryer.

4. Be a vegetarian for one day every week.

5. Stop using plastic water bottles. Buy a nice, re-usable one instead.

6. Cut back on baths. Take more showers instead.

7. Turn the water off while you brush your teeth.

8. Take shorter showers. I challenge myself to be out in five minutes.

9. Turn off lights if you’re not in the room.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things :)

I’m just going to share with you some of my favorite general things I’ve bought lately.

#1: Bath & Body Works Scentportable

This is my absolute favorite purchase I’ve made lately. It’s called a scentportable and it’s from Bath and Body Works. It has a clip on the back and you can clip it where ever you want. I put mine in my car and it is AMAZING! The scent I use is passion flower and it keeps my car smelling so fresh! There are also tons of different shapes and colors to pick from, it’s not just the peace sign.

#2: Fuze

Recently, I’ve discovered these drinks. They’ve got a lot of vitamens in them for you, but honestly, I just love them because they taste so good! It’s one of those things where you either love them or hate them. I love them. My favorite flavor is Peach Mango.

#3: One Direction Album

I know livelaughfashion has told you all about these guys, but I have to second her opinion. They are absolutely great. I bought their CD from Walmart and I can’t stop listening to it. They’ve got incredibly catchy songs and outstanding voices. And they might just  be the five cutest guys on the face of this Earth.

#4: Plaid Shirts

Plaid shirts kinda went in and out of style a while ago, but I still love them! I love the different colors and styles. I love the way they’re comfortable. I love the way the look…

#5: Lava Lamp

Since my bedroom is orange and purple, ’70s themed, I thought this was extremely perfect. I got it at Target and it actually works really well! I think lava lamps are really cool to watch and it’s so pretty.

How to Start Preparing for Summer

Yes, I know that it’s only February. But I LOVE Summer. My whole year revolves around it. I’m on the swim team and I hang out at the pool constantly! It’s the only time I get to see a lot of my friends who don’t go to my school and we have the BEST times! I have 89 days left until my last day of school, May 25. I’ve literally been counting down since the 180’s.

This summer’s also important to me because, being a Junior, this is the last summer I’ll ever have where I can look forward to going back to high school. The summer after this it’ll be all college preparation. Soooo, here’s how you can start getting ready for Summer… in Winter.

#1 Getting in shape

Almost everyone gains a few pounds over the Winter after the holidays and bad weather. Even if you don’t start a hard-core work out, a few crunches every day will help you get your bikini body. Or you can look at my post about fun ways to get in shape :)

#2 Lotion

I put lotion on my skin every morning and night anyway, but if you don’t, you can start now to have your skin soft and radiant by summer.

#3 Tanning

Not everyone likes tanning, but some people do, so I thought I’d put it on here. If you don’t already go to a tanning bed, you’ll have to work into it slowly, so it wouldn’t hurt to start now. Personally, I just wait until Spring and start laying out in the sun to get a natural tan. It’s still not great for your skin, but its what I do. You can buy sun screen that has a low spf level and still lets you tan.

#4 Picking out your bathing suit

I know its a little early for this one because most stores haven’t even put them out yet, but everytime I go shopping, I walk past the bathing suits to start getting ideas for what kind I want this year.

#5 Shaving/ tweezing

A lot of people think this is gross, but I don’t shave my legs very often in the winter unless I know people are going to be seeing my legs. I always wear jeans or sweat pants because here in Ohio it gets pretty cold, much too cold to be wearing shorts at least. But in the beginning of Spring time I start shaving my legs again so they’ll be soft for summer.
I think the tweezing part is just something I do, but I always tweeze my eyebrows a little thinner in the summer. So I start doing that in the spring also to get my eyebrows ready for it.

Thanks for reading! Comment and let me know what you think! :)

My Top 5 Favorite Ways to Excersize

I’m one of those unlucky girls with a slow metabolism and zero motivation to get my butt off my couch and away from my laptop. I have to push myself to stay in shape, so I’ve come up with my favorite ways to make excersizing less of a chore.

#1 Dancing

I started taking dance classes when I was 3, and even though I quit classes when I started high school several years ago, I still LOVE to do it. I put music on in my room and come up with my own dances. Next time I look at the clock, an hour’s already gone by. If you’re not experienced, there are tons of tutorials on youtube to teach you simple dances. Daddywongproductions is my favorite. Or you can just put music on and dance around in no particular order, but I find it harder to do this for any real amount of time. If you can, kudos to you!

#2 Hide-and-Seek tag

It may sound silly, but I’m almost 17 years old and me and my friends have the best time playing this! I have a friend with a huge amount of property, partly covered in woods and we play for hours. By the time we go inside, I’m sweating and very much excersized.

#3 Walking your dog/ with a friend

Your dog with love you for it. If you don’t have a dog, grab a friend. Instead of having a long conversation on the couch, why not go for a walk, or even a jog? Especially if its a nice day, it’ll be a good time.

#4 Jump roping

Jump roping. Remember that? When you were little you did it for fun. Now it can be used as an awesome excersize method. See if you can still remember those songs like ‘Cinderella, dressed in yellow’ or challenge yourself to learn double dutch.

#5 Casual game of basketball

I’m sure you have at least one friend with a basketball hoop in there driveway. If not, go to the park. You can also try tennis or softball or any other sport. It’ll give you excersize, it’ll be quality time with your friends, and it’ll be fun.
